Assistant Principal's Message

Kelly Hubley, M. A.

Meet the Assistant Principals

Ms. Hubley

What a great privilege to return to Red Rock Elementary "Where Learning Takes Flight!"   As an educator I have served in a variety of roles including, teaching special education in grades K-8, school counselor and summer school principal.  Prior to coming into education, I was a counselor that worked primarily with children and families.  I passionately believe that all children can learn and they thrive when in an environment in which they feel loved.

I am a proud Aggie graduate where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.  I went on to Sam Houston State University where I graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and later earned my Licensed Professional Counselor Certification.  Several years ago I began my journey into instructional leadership, and it is from Lamar University that I earned my principal certification.  My diverse background has taught me how to successfully help others reach their full potential.

At home, I have one daughter, Sophie.  She is actively involved in athletics, band and church activities.

I look forward to continue getting to know all of our Red Rock Roadrunners and their families.  It is best for children when families feel connected to the school and at RRE you are always welcome.  One of our ultimate goals is to ignite a passion of lifelong learning in our children and with your support we can reach this for all of our Roadrunners.  Thank you for this amazing opportunity to work with your children in helping them grow academically, socially and emotionally.

Mrs. Zemo

Hello Red Rock Roadrunners! My name is Charlotte Zemo and I am the Assistant Principal at Red Rock and Cedar Creek Elementary.  Prior to arriving to Bastrop ISD, I had the opportunity of working in a variety of private and public elementary schools ranging from pre-K through 5th grade. My most recent experience was in Del Valle ISD as GT Coordinator and Special Education Teacher.

My husband Matthew is also in education and together we share 3 beautiful children Dominic, Carmela, and our four legged child Bruno. I am excited to work alongside staff at both Red Rock and Cedar Creek Elementary and have the opportunity to support the families of BISD.

I attended Texas State University where I received a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Masters of Elementary Education with a specialization in Early Childhood and a Minor in Education Administration.

I look forward in continuing to work with your children and can’t wait to meet you!

If you see me around your child’s campus, please stop by and say hello!
